Impurities that render a Wudu essential

When Is A  Wudu (Ablution) Rendered Essential

The Wudu is rendered essential when a person prepares for Salaah after:

 Passing urine; excretion; emission of any discharge short of semen; passing (or breaking) wind.
 Bleeding or outflow of puss from any part of the body.
 Throwing out a full mouthful or more (vomiting).
 Reclining on one’s bed or the like and going to sleep.
 Losing one’s senses or lying unconscious.
 Laughing aloud during Salaah.
 We have to be specially guarded in this behalf and accustom ourselves to cleansing ourselves thoroughly after the natural functions cited.
 We have been cautioned by Allah in the Holy Qur’an to keep our garments and our bodies cleaned of all stains. The Prophet S.A.W.S. has warned us that those who fail to clean themselves and their garments of the stains of urine, suffer most of the punishment in their graves.
